John Heinz Wildlife Refuge (partial lake loop)
Details
Our September event will be a fan favorite, the lake loop at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge! Part of this loop is currently under restoration, so unfortunately we won't be able to complete the full route, but instead we'll go clockwise and then head back the way we came once we hit the Marsh Boardwalk. This is an easy, flat walk of about 3.5 miles that should take us between 1 and 1.5 hours to do. Dogs are welcome on a leash and there are restrooms available at the trail head!

Let's meet at 9:30AM at the Lindbergh Boulevard entrance to ensure that there is enough parking for everyone (the park's construction crew is occupying part of the parking lot at the moment). If you don't manage to get a spot in the main or overflow parking lots, there is additional street parking on Lindbergh Boulevard. Look for us near the covered picnic area off of the parking lot!
As always, please bring plenty of water and wear a pair of good walking shoes. Anna will monitor the weather for that day in case of extreme heat or heavy rain, but keep your fingers crossed for low humidity and sunny weather :) Looking forward to seeing you all there!
