Ski or Ride Winter Park! (Ikon Pass) (Ski Train or Drive)

Join us for this season's first trip to Winter Park!

The basics

• This event is targeted at solid intermediate skiers/boarders and above. If you ski or ride blue runs, a host or another member will ski with you.
• Other levels may join, but having someone join them on their preferred terrain is not guaranteed and is based on member turnout.
• A host will ski black diamond runs as long as every intermediate skier has someone to ski with.
• Beware that Green skiers who choose to attend this Meetup may be riding alone unless another member attends and chooses to join you.

Winter Park Express Train (6:25 a.m. Union Station)
The train ride is beautiful, avoids traffic, and gives you some time to get to know others in the group.

• Meet me (Jon) inside Union Station at 6:25 a.m. (Gray jacket).
• Look for the group at the old wooden benches near the flower kiosk.
• At 6:35 a.m. sharp, we'll leave to board the train.
• If you board without us, find us at the meeting point at the resort.
• You can buy food and drinks on the train or avoid the line by bringing your own.
• While skiing, you can store your gear on the train.
• Buy tickets here. Purchase a round-trip ticket from DEN to Winter Park Resort (WPR, not WPS). Either Upper Level or Lower Level tickets will work. Tickets start at $39 (each way) and prices rise as the train fills up.

If you're driving from Denver
Expect weekend traffic to create long delays. Please plan accordingly.

Meeting Point (9 a.m. Starbucks)

• 9:00 - 9:15: The train arrives (usually).
• Please meet us at the Starbucks in the Winter Park Village / West Portal Station (map).
• We will head to the lifts immediately after the train passengers arrive.

Après Ski (Derailer Bar)
The group does not officially host an après. People tend to wind down their days at different times. But all of us usually end up at the Derailer Bar.

Depart via Train (4:00 p.m.)
Please find us at the train boarding area at 4:00 or a little after.

• Be good to each other. Volunteers run this group. Please treat the host and other attendees with kindness and respect.
• Don't ski or ride like a jerk. Know The Code.
• Please only sign up if you intend to ski/ride with the group on the day of the event.
