Welcome to the LGBT Network Q-Center Meetup page! This is where we will post our events and programs for the LGBTQ+ community here in Astoria, Queens.
Unless otherwise noted, all of these events will take place at our Queens LGBT Center (35-11 35th Avenue, Queens, NY 11106). Please note that some of our programs are for specific groups within the LGBTQ community, while some are open to everyone. Our Enrichment Series connects you with teachers, artists, and experts in a variety of interesting fields.
We aim to introduce you to new and exciting activities to enrich your life. Whether you pick up a new hobby or just enjoy a novel night out, all are welcome! In this workshop, we’ll share simple, body-based ways to understand and manage stress. You’ll learn how the nervous system influences much of what we think, feel, and do, and different ways we can communicate with the nervous system to help ease our mind and body. Together, we’ll explore stress-reduction tools and practice tuning in to what feels right for you.
