LI-DOG Pack Walk™ at Indian Island County Park, Riverhead!
Details
🐾 Join us for an LI-DOG Pack Walk™ at Indian Island County Park on Saturday, November 15th!
For our final pack walk of 2025, we will be visiting this beautiful 275-acre park, at the mouth of the Peconic River. What was formerly the "island" at Indian Island County Park is now connected to the mainland by a causeway composed entirely of white sand.
This is a nice, peaceful trail through the woods, much of it alongside the river. The trails in the park are wide and easy to follow. Some of the trail is part of the road system so you do need to watch for cars, but it is wide enough to easily stand aside. As we walk, we will get great views of a glistening and peaceful Flanders Bay.
The walk will cover approximately 2.4 miles and take a bit over an hour.
Please be aware that dogs must remain leashed AT ALL TIMES on the Pack Walk. Make sure to bring poop bags--as clean-up is a must--and water for you and your dog. Also, please no retractable leashes as we’ll be walking as a group and people and dogs can get tangled.
Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can sign in, and we can start on time.
