Join LI‑DOG for one of our popular Pack Walks™ - a group on-leash dog walk - in beautiful Blydenburgh County Park in Smithtown!

Blydenburgh is a 627-acre Suffolk County Park that boasts not only a large dog park, but miles of dog-friendly walking trails. The main loop trail around Stump Pond (which is currently dry because of a dam break) in the center of the park is six miles long, but for our Pack Walk on May 16th, we’ll scope out a shorter, 45-minute or hour-long walk for everyone and their dogs. The trail is mostly flat, dirt or sand, and well-shaded by trees. It will be an out-and-back route so we avoid narrow trails in the park.

🌲 What We’re Doing
We’ll take a 45–60 minute on-leash walk along a mostly flat, shaded trail. It’s a great way for dogs to socialize and for people to meet fellow dog lovers.

📍 Where to Meet
Enter the park from Veterans Memorial Highway and follow the paved road to the parking lot for the boat launch--a left hand turn. We’ll meet on the grass next to the parking lot.

✔️ What to Bring / Important Notes

  • Dogs must remain on leash at all times (no retractable leashes)
  • While there is water available near the parking lot, please remember to bring water for you and your dog on the trail
  • Be prepared for the possibility of horses or the occasional off‑leash dog on the trail
  • Please bring poop bags. Cleanup after your pup is a must!
  • Be sure to use tick preventatives for yourself and your dog as ticks are a constant hazard.
  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in

🌦 Weather Check

We can’t wait to see everyone and their pups for a fun, friendly morning at Blydenburgh on May 16th!
