Join the LI-DOG Pack! Help Shape Our Upcoming Dog‑Friendly Community Events!

We’re bringing together a small, enthusiastic group of volunteers to help plan our upcoming LI‑DOG events. Our dog-friendly events bring joy to dogs and their people across Long Island, and your creativity, ideas, and energy can help make them even more memorable!

🌟 Why Join the Planning Meeting?

• Collaborate with a warm, welcoming group of fellow dog lovers.
• Share great ideas on activities and themes for upcoming events.
• Contribute to making LI-DOG's dog-friendly events fun and successful.
• Help design activities, themes, and layouts for upcoming events
• Help support LI-DOG's mission to get more acess to public parks and beaches for Long Island dog owners and their pups.

💬 What We’ll Cover

• Brainstorming activities for upcoming events.
• Ideas for marketing, outreach, and pet-centric community engagement.
• Creative ideas for reaching sponsors to raise funds for events including raffle basket donations and financial support.
• Volunteer opportunities on the day of events from meeting and greeting fellow dog owners and their pups to helping set up the venues.
• Ways to make sure each event is smooth, dog-friendly and fun!

Anyone who:

• Loves dogs and community events
• Enjoys creative planning and teamwork
• Wants to help build joyful, inclusive experiences. No experience needed — just bring your enthusiasm!

📅 Meeting Details
Date: Thursday, September 17, 2026, Time: 7 PM Location: The Refuge, 515 Broadhollow Rd (Rte. 110), Melville, N.Y.

Please note: The food and drinks at The Refuge are really good, from appetizers and pizzas to salads and entrees. Please come prepared to order food and/or drinks from their extensive menu. We want to make sure The Refuge invites our group again for future gatherings!

Also be aware that since we will be inside the restaurant for our meeting, only service dogs are allowed.
