Calling all spooky pups, silly mutts, and dressed-up doggos—it’s time to unleash the fun! LI-DOG is taking over The Pine Grove Inn for an afternoon packed with creative costumes, festive activities, and plenty of reasons for dogs and their people to celebrate together.

Costume Contest

Turn PGI’s back lawn into your pup’s personal runway! Bring out the capes, crowns, clever characters, and coordinated ensembles for a costume contest where originality gets its moment in the spotlight. There are two categories in our contest:

1. Best Standalone Pet: Whether your pup is a werewolf, taco, fairy or hot dog, we can’t wait to see your creativity!
2. Best Dog & Human Team: Pair up for a themed costume that shows off your imagination: a pup pilot and his flight crew? Cruella deVil and her Dalmatians? Old McDonald and his farm animals?

We're thrilled to thank Pet Wants Great South Bay for generously sponsoring our costume contest prizes! Thanks to their support, the top three costume contest winners in each category will share $300 in prizes! Pet Wants offers all-natural food, chews, treats and supplements for dogs and cats. Be sure to stop by their booth and check out their products.

Our Costume Contest kicks off at 1 p.m., so make sure you're at the Pawty by then!

More Pawty Highlights

1. 🍬 Tasty Treats for Pups and their People: Delicious food and HowloWeen-themed drinks for purchase from the Pine Grove Inn's extensive menu from salads and sandwiches to pasta and dessert.
2. Free Doggie Cake for all the good boys and girls in attendance. Thank you to Who Lets Your Dog Out dog care services for generously donating a pup cake for our canine guests!
3. 📸 Picture-Perfect Moments: Pose against a playful Halloween backdrop filled with pumpkins, spooky scenery, and seasonal flair.
4. 🎨 Make-and-Take Fun: Create a paw-print painting with your dog or decorate a spooky Halloween-themed cutout to bring home as a festive memento.

🎃🐾 Special Guests: Visit with our fabulous VIPs (Very Important Pet vendors) sharing dog-friendly goodies and gear and valuable resources and services for you and your four-legged family members.

1. All-Island K9 Services will do a short training demonstration and be available to discuss your training needs.
2. Wyldfire Photography will be on hand ready to snap picture-perfect shots of you and your pup dressed for the pawty.
3. Bark and Bead will be there with their festive handmade beaded collars and matching bracelets.
4. Community Pet Supplies will have treats, toys, and information on their upcoming Photos with Santa event.
5. Dog Days Pet Care will be there with information about their dog walking & pet sitting services and tasty treats for the pups.
6. Farmina Foods will tell you about their healthy pet meals and offer your pup a tasty morsel. Farmina is also donating goody bags for our first 30 to 40 guests!
7. NY Safe Haven Animal Rescue will bring their adorable adoptable pups to the event. Who knows you may find your dog's new best friend!
8. Pet Wants Great South Bay. Discover fresh, healthy pet food and all-natural treats made for your furry family.
9. URvetCare will talk about the services they offer at their new 24/7 emergency and walk-in veterinary hospital on Long Island.
10. Who Lets Your Dog Out dog walking and dog care services will have toys, accessories and handmade pottery at their booth. They'll also set up a backyard-scale agility course so your pup can try out their jumping and weaving skills.

🎵 Music—spooky, fun and upbeat--provided by our DJ Mike Kaplow and his trusty sidekick Ms. Maroney. Enjoy a playlist filled with tunes that everyone—humans and pups alike—can enjoy.

Grand Raffle Prize! A Chance to Fly with Your Dog on RetrievAir! LI-DOG is excited to announce that RetrievAir--the airline where dogs ride in the cabin with their families that now flies from Long Island's MacArthur Airport--has donated a $1,000 flight voucher (valid thru Oct. 2027) as our Grand Raffle Prize! Thank you, RetrievAir, for your extremely generous donation. Make sure to enter our Howl-o-Ween raffle for a chance to win this fantastic prize! Must be present to win.

A lovely setting! Imagine a big lawn with a lazy river flowing by, a pretty gazebo in the corner, and tables with umbrellas on a brick patio with an outdoor bar serving Howl-o-Ween themed drinks nearby. That’s the Pine Grove Inn!

👥 Open to all dog lovers—costumes encouraged but not required.
Our Howl-o-Ween Pawty is an important fundraiser for LI-DOG, which works to get more access to public parks and beaches on Long Island for dog owners and their pups!

So, grab your dog-loving friends and family and join us on November1st for what should be a lot of fun AND a great way to support LI-DOG’s work!

Discounted advance tickets for $15 per person are now available for purchase from the LI-DOG website. On the day of the event, tickets will be $20 per person. Dogs and children 12 and under are FREE.

🐾 Important Reminder for Pet Owners

1. Please be aware dogs must remain leashed on non-retractable leads at all times**.**
2. Please walk your dog before entering the venue.
3. Only service dogs are permitted inside the restaurant.
