What we’re about

We teach people the many facets of physical security and access control in a friendly, hands-on environment. Founded in May 2010, this is one of the longest running American lock meetups. Each month we are home to some of the best and brightest lockpickers on the west coast! Our membership is primarily locksmiths, hobbyists, security researchers, physical penetration testers, and hackers. Beginners are always welcome!

There are two common sense rules that all members must follow:
+ Do not pick locks you do not own or have the owner's explicit permission to pick.
+ Do not pick locks that are in use, including those that you depend on.

Each month we have a different topic with a presentation or hands-on workshop where attendees learn about and work with a wide variety of locks and keys. Examples of topics we cover are: lockpicking, key bumping, impressioning, decoding, safe cracking, master keying, making your own tools, making your own locks, high security lock research, rare and exotic lock showcases, tamper-evident seals, and much more!

This group meets at Null Space Labs (http://www.032.la) on the third Friday of every month. The meeting is open to the public and beginners are welcome! Null Space Labs itself is home to many other technology, electronics, hacking, and social meetings. (http://www.meetup.com/NullSpaceLabs)

Hope to see you there!
