What we’re about
Welcome to Liberal & Progressive Women of San Diego — a space for like-minded women who are tired of feeling alone, overwhelmed, or helpless in the face of everything going on in the world right now.
We're part social club, part activist group — we believe in the importance of connection and peace, but also in standing up for what's right. Whether you’re looking for friendship, a little peace, or a way to make a difference, we’d love to have you.
This group is rooted in the values of peace, inclusion, non-violence, diversity, and compassion. Whether you’re a long-time activist or just beginning to find your voice, you are welcome here. You don’t have to have all the answers — you just need to show up.
This group was created with three core purposes in mind:
Connection & Community – This is a place to meet other progressive women, make new friends, and share space with people who get it. Whether it's brunch, book clubs, or beach walks — we believe in finding joy and community amidst the chaos.
Grounding & Self-Care – We’re living through heavy, uncertain times. It’s easy to burn out, stay in fight or flight mode, or shut down. We will host events like guided meditations, self-care circles, breathwork, or simply space to talk and support each other. When we take care of ourselves first, we can accomplish so much more.
Community Action & Activism – This group will be a place to brainstorm and support causes we care about — locally and beyond. From community outreach to volunteer work to protests, we're open to exploring all of the ways we can help right now. No experience necessary — just bring your heart and your willingness to act.
A Message From the Group Organizer
Hi, I’m Blair Nicole 👋
I’m not a politician or a professional activist. I’m just a regular woman who’s had enough — of the cruelty, the injustice, and the apathy. I also believe deeply in the power of community, and I created this group because we need each other right now.
A little about me: I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, I'm a current PhD candidate in Psychology, a background as a trauma therapist, and a decade of experience hosting community events and serving on non-profit boards. I'm not an experienced activist, but I'm hoping as a group we can figure it out! I'm also very open to using my skills and background to help in as many ways as possible. I believe that when women come together, grounded in compassion and purpose, we rise.
If you're feeling isolated, angry, exhausted, or just unsure what to do next — please join us. We’ll figure it out together.
✨ Let’s connect. Let’s ground ourselves. Let’s rise. ✨
