Description: Running any organization is hard, but running a democratic and social organization can be even more challenging! While we can't satisfy everyone's needs perfectly, we can avoid authoritarian management structures with consensus-driven decision making. One (perhaps the only) tool out there is an open-source application called Loomio. At this workshop, we will log into a self-hosted demo platform and learn how consensus decision making can help you achieve:

• Advice - Seek advice on a decision you need to make
• Consent - Make a decision that is ‘safe to try’, without objections
• Consensus - Reach collective agreement with everyone involved
