Description: Back by popular demand, we're revisiting online anonymity tools! Anonymous browsing tools like Tor not only benefit whistleblowers and journalists, but they can help you protect your identity online as well. At this month’s workshop, we’ll learn about how onion routing works and visit websites anonymously with the Tor Browser. We’ll also explore other fascinating projects like OnionShare, which lets you share files through Tor, and TAILS, a live operating systems designed to leave no trace. (Bring a blank USB drive to test it out!) For our more technical guests, we’ll demonstrate how to host your own hidden services on a Raspberry Pi or cloud server.
Bonus topic: We'll also explore anonymous messaging apps like SimpleX!
