What we’re about
This is a NEW group for individuals who have successfully tapered off benzodiazepines and are now navigating life after benzos. We know that recovery does not end when the taper does. Many of us are living with BIND (benzodiazepine induced neurological dysfunction), highly sensitive nervous systems, and the daunting reality of rebuilding our lives from the ground up. Our inagural meeting will be on 10/14/25 @ 4:30PM - 5:45PM Pacific Time via Zoom.
Brick by brick, we work to restore our health, relationships, sense of self, and place in the world. The grief of what has been lost such as time, opportunities, and stability can at times feel insurmountable. But here, you do not have to face it alone.
As we come back "online' after being anesthetized for so many years, the transition can be tough, yet being part of the world again and rediscovering what it means to be human is beautiful.
This Meetup exists to offer support, community, and connection. We share coping strategies, resources, and encouragement in a safe and understanding space. Together we remind each other that while the journey is not linear, there is hope in the future, strength in each other, and healing in being seen and supported.
NOTE: This group is specifically for those who have already completed their taper and are now benzo free. If you are still tapering or looking for support during that stage, there is an incredible group that can help. It is called Benzo Hope, and it has personally helped me as the moderator survive my own taper. The group is very supportive and can be found here: Benzo Hope on Meetup.
We meet on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:45 PM Pacific Time via Zoom. Hope to see you there is this resonates! :)
