What we’re about
A party with a purpose, is the best form of entertainment!
Welcome to Light in the Dark Celtic & Esoteric Believers Community!
This group was created for those with an eclectic Spirituality who're coming from a Celtic, Esoteric & Celtic Christian, Hindu, Theosophical, Shamanic, Buddhist, Pagan or 'Recovering Christian' backgrounds.
We've been doing casual potlucks with intention burning bowl ceremonies for over seven years now and many people have been able to get their miracles, and deepest desires fulfilled; maybe you can too, what miracle do you need in your life that would make it better, or more 'livable'? We assist normal everyday people, mystics & natural Shamans to 'live more abundantly'. Providing intention ceremonies, information and communion with eclectic souls who believe in something greater than ourselves.
We have events running every 6 weeks for different Celtic religious holidays throughout the year that are posted under the group's 'events' section. We celebrate with full moons, Equinoxes, Solstices, and more. We structure them as potlucks, so whatever your favorite dish, desert, or bottle of wine will be welcomed. You may also bring an offering of dried flowers, incense, or sage to burn in outdoors under the stars. Holidays below...
We eat in our great room and converse about Celtic beliefs, esoteric and Celtic Christianity, multiple religions and philosophies, and religious mysticism, general metaphysics, magic, miracles, Angels, and quantum physics including Interdimensional doorways, different dimensions and timelines.
MORE GROUP INFORMATION:

We hope to see you soon!
More about Light in the Dark...
Light in the Dark Community is a Private group, and we provide a 'safe and Sacred space' for those who want to live in a state of Christ consciousness; we observe the many individual diverse Spiritual, metaphysical, or religious practices of the attendees at our Burning Bowls (e.g.: communion, written prayers, meditation on individual purposes, and use of candles etc.).
We eat a group Potluck dinner, visit, introduce ourselves, talk about the ritual and manifestation topics, write our private prayer intentions down, then we burn them outside under the moon inside of a paper bag filled with dried fruits, tobacco, and flowers, incense, pinecones, oak leaves, sage, or whatever else is at hand as an offering/ connection to our personal deities, and our divine parent.
Burning Bowl ceremonies invite the conscious loving Universe to the ceremony to assist you in your prayers. Sending your energy into the fire with your intentions can help you focus on your enlightened heart to see what is truly in your way of living your best life. It helps you become still so you can hear your authentic self and create prayerful intentions that are meaningful and filled with purpose. The prayer energy exchanged will also assist you with your commitment to your intentions by giving you gentle reminders from your Spirit guides throughout the year.
At the end we talk, listen to music, and drum and dance if we feel led, and the events can go on through the night for those who wish the celebration to continue...

Ley Lines:
Our location is very near, or right on top of a Ley Line in the earth that connects us to all of the magickal sacred sites around the world, so it is the perfect place to manifest and create our intentions! Our space is a portal, and we have had much paranormal activity here, which makes for interesting meetings, and for effective manifestation to take place!
We discuss Magickal methods from diverse cultures at each burning bowl, and also the history behind the holidays that we celebrate. (All Christian holidays came from the Celtic and other Indigenous Cultures, and we try to keep to the purest form of the holiday that we can honor from our ancestral pasts). We have different attendees educate about their own methods of manifestation practices that have worked for them, so that we in the group become wiser, and more diverse as a result increasing our collective cultural understanding, and tolerance for others.
This community is also for those who do not wish to be linked to groups, covens, cults, or organizations with specific agendas and religious beliefs, or memberships. 'To Each Her, or His Own, is our Motto'. If you like to gather with other like-minded folks to celebrate Celtic, and Spiritual holidays, pray/create intentions, gather, take part in very casual Celtic ceremonies, and manifest as a group, then you will be happy attending our events! We look forward to meeting you to eat, drink, drum, dance and visit with one another for various Celtic holidays throughout the year. See you soon!
We meet on, or near, Celtic Holidays to hang out with other like-minded individuals from similar walks of life! We normally gather for Potlucks to hang out socially for casual Celtic burning bags, for renewal and manifestation; as well as showing gratitude for all of the gifts Spirit brings into our lives daily, after all, there is Strength in numbers when it comes to manifestation! The holidays coincide with new, and full moon cycles to add power to our intentions! Kick back, put your feet up, eat, drink and be merry with like-minded others while creating the life that you deserve! We also drum and dance to music on into the night after the meal and discussion if we feel up to it.

Yule Meaning and symbolism
- Rebirth of the sun:
The central theme of Yule is the "rebirth" of the sun after its lowest point on the winter solstice, marking the return of light and longer days. - Reflection and new beginnings:
The dark, cold winter is seen as a time for introspection. Yule encourages reflection on the past year and setting intentions for new beginnings and creativity in the year ahead. - Hope and renewal:
Decorating with evergreens, which stay green through winter, symbolizes the continuation of life and the hope for future growth. - Unity and connection:
Gathering with loved ones for feasting, storytelling, and celebrating around a fire fosters a sense of community and connection, similar to modern Christmas traditions.
Traditional practices
- Yule log:
A large log, traditionally oak, is burned for twelve days, with a portion saved to light the following year's log. - Evergreen decorations:
Holly, mistletoe, and other evergreens are used to decorate homes, symbolizing life and warmth during the winter. - Yule tree:
A fir, pine, or spruce is decorated, often with handcrafted or "magical" ornaments, representing the Yule tree. - Feasting:
Yule was traditionally a time for feasting, often involving meat, and celebrating with great joy, setting aside work and quarrels. - Rituals:
Specific rituals are common, such as meditating on the sun's rebirth, making a Yule log, and decorating an altar with seasonal items.
Ley Lines: Our location is very near, or right on top of a Ley Line in the earth that connects us to all of the magical sacred sites around the world, so it is the perfect place to manifest and do magic!! Our space is a portal, and we have had much paranormal activity here, which makes for interesting meetings, and for effective manifestation to take place!
Winter Solstice:
Winter Solstice has been celebrated in cultures the world over for thousands of years. This start of the solar year is a celebration of Light and the rebirth of the Sun. In old Europe, it was known as Yule, from the Norse, Jul, meaning wheel.
Today, many people in Western-based cultures refer to this holiday as "Christmas." Yet a look into its origins of Christmas reveals its Celtic roots. Emperor Aurelian established December 25 as the birthday of the "Invincible Sun" in the third century as part of the Roman Winter Solstice celebrations. Shortly thereafter, in 273, the Christian church selected this day to represent the birthday of Jesus, and by 336, this Roman solar feast day was Christianized. January 6, celebrated as Epiphany in Christendom and linked with the visit of the Magi, was originally an Egyptian date for the Winter Solstice.

MORE ABOUT Yule:
Celebrate Yule with a series of rituals, feasts, and other activities. In most ancient cultures, the celebration lasted more than a day. The ancient Roman Saturnalia festival sometimes went on for a week.
Richard Heinberg, author of Celebrate the Solstice: Honoring the Earth’s Seasonal Rhythms through Festival and Ceremony (Quest Books, 1993) describes the solstices as “times of danger and opportunity; times for special alertness and aliveness.” In Iran, families often kept fires burning all night to assist the battle between the light and dark forces. In ancient Rome, where it was called Dies Natalis Invicti Solis, or the Birthday of the Unconquered Sun, masters even celebrated as equals with their slaves. Throughout history, celebrating the solstice has been a way to renew our connection with each other and with the numinous through acts of goodwill, special rituals, and heightened awareness.
