What we’re about

The Lilidots are a *lesbian women's walking group, organised and run by lesbian members for lesbian women. We are a Scotland-wide group. The Lilidots were founded by lesbian feminists in the 1980's and feminist values continue to influence how we organise our walks and interact as a group. If you are a lesbian based in Scotland and enjoy walking then you are very welcome, and you will feel at home with us.

We hold monthly walking events and occasional weekend trips throughout the year. We ask for a profile photo that clearly shows your face so that the organiser can recognise you when you join us for walks and for a £2.00 donation on each walk to help pay for our Meetup subscription.

On our walks everyone is responsible for themselves, walk organisers are not qualified mountain leaders, they will have a good idea of the route to be taken, organise and give details of where we will meet up, but they are not responsible for the group or your safety. We recommend you learn how to use a map and compass and bring it with you, as following others will be at your own risk. You'll need walking boots, warm clothing even in summer and waterproofs. Bring a packed lunch and some snacks to keep you going.

More details about the Lilidots and advice about what to bring can be found at www.lilidots.weebly.com We will try and answer any questions if you contact lilidots@hotmail.com

* Lesbian women in this context means same sex attracted biological women. We also welcome bisexual women.
