Come together for prayer is an essential function of the body of Christ. You are welcome to join me for prayer. In our culture prayer has become another forum for preaching, or what people fear most a place for people to learn intimate things about you under the gaze of a religious act. I assure you this is not that type of prayer. This is a forum where you come with brothers and sisters and focus on being alone with God in the Spirit; this allows you to hear and speak to God with no distractions, by the Spirit. We fellowship before prayer at 6pm over a meal. Prayer starts at 7pm. Your time spent in prayer is completely up to you. We have a time of ministering to each other with songs, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing to God with a heart of grace Colossian 3:16. This is something we are called to do daily with one another. It is my understanding of Scripture that the local Church consists of those who have believed in the gospel, the promise of God's salvation, in the city that we live in. Biblical example, Paul addresses the Church of God in Corinth, Philippi, etc. This event provides a space for believers in the church to discuss and explore the depths of God's promised salvation and non-believers to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What we'll do? Public Orderly Worship is when all the believers assemble together for edification. As 1 Corinthians 14:26 describes, we will begin with a time of prayer and communion. For believers, Orderly Worship is not the beginning of worship but an extension of our personal worship. Your time of prayer, studying. and singing praises will allow you to come with a teaching, psalm, revelation, tongue, interpretation, or prophecy. All gifts will be tested by the word of God (1 Thessalonians 5:19-22). Of course all things will be done by the Holy Spirit in God's timing; meaning if certain gifts are not manifested in the body, that is okay. We will not allow for misuses of any gifts. However, we will earnestly desire the gifts and pray according to the will of God. Furthermore, all gifts are meant for edifying the body and should lead us to hold firm, grow, and be encourage in the gospel (primary test of authenticity). Our sisters in Christ will not be permitted to speak during Public Orderly Worship out of reverence to God, 1 Corinthians 14:34-36 NASB, unless it is directed to God as one assembly, sing of psalm or spiritual song. Of course your gifts can be exercised when we assemble privately throughout the week. What to bring "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:1-2 NASB • Important to know "Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy" - 1 Corinthians 14:1 NASB
