HALLOWEEN!!! Balboa!! Costumes!! Maybe!!!

So I want to try the beginner Balboa classes at the Verdi Club. I want to see if it will help with my Lindy Hop. Also it reminds me of Rocky so who want to get an eye of the tiger with me? Yeah you do.

Also I wanted to try something new since I have already taken the LIndy Hop beginner class here and I don't want to go up to intermediate yet. Gotta focus on those basics for a bit.

What's balboa? Well let me enlighten you with a little history lesson.

Balboa originated in Southern California in the 1920’s and enjoyed huge popularity during the 1930’s and 1940’s. Because it emphasizes rhythmic weight shifts, subtle movements, and closed-position partnering, Balboa is ideal for very fast tempos (around 180 to 300 beats per minute).
