About us
We're a group for anyone who wants to learn how to sketch, whether you've never picked up a pencil for drawing or you used to draw as a kid and want to get back into it. There's no pressure here—we're all about showing up, putting pen to paper, and seeing what happens. We'll work through the basics together: learning to see proportions, understanding line weight, getting comfortable with your hand, that kind of thing.
Each meetup we'll do some guided sketching exercises, share what we're working on, and give each other honest but encouraging feedback. You'll bring whatever supplies you have—doesn't matter if it's a fancy sketchbook or pages from a notebook—and we'll make space for questions and experimenting. Sometimes we'll draw from reference images, sometimes we'll sketch each other, and sometimes we'll just draw whatever feels right.
If you've ever wanted to learn to draw but felt too intimidated or didn't know where to start, this is the group for you. We keep things low-key and judgment-free. Just come ready to learn, be patient with yourself, and maybe make some friends who get why you want to draw.
