What we’re about
Formerly the Containers and Friends meetup. Decided to try a new group due to lack of interest in the former group (I sort of stopped using containers myself). I also myself have been trying to understand the Linux kernel on a much deeper level so that I can get full use out of it. I figured there would be power in numbers since it is impossible for any one person to understand the full kernel.
This group is meant to be extremely approachable and purely about the love of Linux and the underlying tech. This is not a place to bring your dogma, and I WILL kick people for bullying. I love Linux, but I don't love Linux culture as of late and this group is trying to be part of changing that.
Example: You want to do a session on rust in linux? Sure. You want to hound everyone about how any linux development we do HAS to be in rust? Nope.
I kept people here from the last group since there tends to be a lot of overlap between linux lovers and container enthusiasts, but I won't be offended if you leave the group. It was just easier in meetup to change a group than to delete and start a new one anyway.
