We are the first and currently only organization in Portugal dedicated to the development of safe advanced artificial intelligence. We run community events, put on film screenings, run courses and facilitate cooperation on research and political action in the name of giving Portugal a voice in the safe development of advanced AI. Join us for events and come with an open mind. Everyone is welcome regardless of their experience or knowledge of AI.

Join us for our meet-up in the park to discuss AI safety and the recent concerning news of AI systems breaking containment and hacking into other companies. We want to explore what this means for society and what we can do to stop AI from taking over any time soon. Are we doomed to lose to hyper-intelligent multi-agent swarms or is there still something we can do about it?
Everyone is welcome, regardless of their experience level or knowledge of AI. We aim to be as inclusive as possible. This, and all of our other events, are totally free. Bring your friends and a snack and come with an open mind and ready to learn and discuss topics related to AI safety.
We will be discussing the recent OpenAI-Hugging Face incident, and talking about the implications of it and what we might expect in the future.
