Olá! This is a group for people of all ages interested in reading and discussing literary topics in English in front of a delicious cup of tea (or coffee) in the beautiful atmosphere of Bookshop Bivar, Lisbon's finest bookshop specialized in second-hand books in English. You're welcome to talk about your favorite poems, novels and plays from ALL CORNERS OF THE WORLD. The group wants to be an informal gathering for book lovers and is free to attend (donations are welcome).
Olá! Este é um grupo de pessoas de todas as idades que gostam de discutir temas literários em Inglês e que estão interessadas em discutir e dar a sua opinião sobre os livros de que gostam. Neste grupo aliamos o gosto pela leitura a uma deliciosa chávena de cha (ou de café) no ambiente descontraído do Bookshop Bivar, (livraria de livros em segunda mão em inglês). Estão convidados a falar sobre os vossos poemas favoritos, romances e peças de todos os cantos do mundo. Este grupo pretende ser um encontro informal e gratuito para os amantes de livros (doações são apreciadas).

Dear Book Rafters,
in this special Book Raft event at Bookshop Bivar we will talk about the relationship between music and literature: beautiful literary passages about music or songs inspired by literature (poems, novels, short stories).
Alternatively, you could bring song lyrics that, in your opinion, could stand alone as poetry. There are countless songs we consider poetic or, at least, poetic sounding. However, some of these songs, when stripped of their instrumentals, may loose some or all of their “poetic charm”. What songs do you feel, on paper, could pass for poetry?
