Photobook Afternoon at Casa do Jardim

Join us for a relaxed photobook afternoon at Casa do Jardim. If you can bring a photobook or two that you enjoy and want to share, please do. Don't have any? Don't stress as I'll have a couple of extras.

Stay tuned for a photowalk TBA before the book share. It will lead to Casa do Jardim da Estrela.

We will hang out for a couple hours, look through each other's books, talk if we feel like it, or just sit quietly and read. There is no structure and no pressure. The idea is simply to make photobooks accessible and give people a chance to explore work they might not normally see or buy.

I'll be bringing extra zines to pass around too. If you've made a zine yourself, bring it along and show it off. This is a good chance to get your work in front of people and maybe get a conversation going on it.

Books will be handled with clean hands and basic care. Keep anything potentially damaging away from them as much as possible and turn the pages gently. Anyone who brings a book also accepts that small signs of use can happen.

What you bring
One or two photobooks or zines. Nothing rare or fragile unless you are comfortable sharing it.

What to expect
A quiet afternoon with photography, new book discoveries.
