Exploring Physical Theatre Techniques- A Practical Workshop
The workshop will introduce the importance of working with stimulus (a theme, word, image, text, picture, music). Participants will explore how to create a story using various physical theatre techniques. The objective of the workshop is for participants to create a toolkit for devising their own physical storytelling. This workshop will be a wonderful opportunity to meet other like-minded performers. Performance experience is not essential, just the interest of trying something fun and energetic, and it helps if you can move well!
Ages 18+
Vicky Heath has worked professionally as a performer, director, and deviser for many years, nationally and internationally. She is the Artistic Director of Nunah Theatre Company, now based in Lisbon. Nunah is an exciting physical theatre company who creates original, visually stunning, emotionally resonant productions, sometimes inside theatres, but more often in other public spaces. Vicky is also an experienced workshop facilitator and lecturer in performing arts, with a specialism in physical theatre, who is hoping to meet exciting performers for potential collaborations, particularly performers who love site specific immersive theatre.
