Drunk vs High is a standup comedy competition, where the best comedians we could find partake in their favorite vice and attempt to do their funniest sets for the judges, you, the audience! So get your tickets now and help decide, who is funnier, drunk or high!
The lineup is ready and this is going to be an epic battle between comedians from the United States and Ireland with a special guest joining in to level the playing field! Known worldwide for their epic tolerances to vices of all manner, these gladiators will take the stage to make you laugh while under the influence.

John has established himself as one of the most exciting stand-ups emerging in the Irish comedy scene. Winner of the "Best New Act" Award at the 2019 Bray Comedy Festival, John has been featured on FM104 and is a contributing writer to The God Pod Twitter account. Praised for his likability, comedy writing and stage presence, he has performed on shows with top comedians such as David O'Doherty, Michelle Wolf, Joanne Mcnally, and Steve Hofstetter, and regularly gigs at the best venues across Ireland. In 2019 he brought a show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and debuted a new show at the Scene and Heard festival in 2022, and again in 2023. He also brought two shows to the Edinburgh Fringe festival in 2023 and is debuting a new show in 2024.
Bringing the Irish craic to Lisbon, Jen shares tales of dating fails, her rapidly vanishing attention span & stories that'll make you believe in star signs.

After performing all over the US for over two decades Dan Burt brings his unique outlook on life to Portugal. Dan's stand up covers everything from marriage to having a kid to mental health, oh and a fantastic cat impression. Come see the comedy that got him an audition for Saturday Night Live.
Jen Nafziger is an American farm girl transplanted to Portugal. Jen is a comedian, writer, and event host known for her sharp, playful style and warm personality. Her comedy has been featured in several countries and on the main stage at the Stand Up Europe festival. Her surreal fiction stories have appeared on the cover of Space & Time magazine, Daily Science Fiction, and other prominent publications.
#### Featuring special guests Hilal Kassem & Diego Aguilar
Hilal is a Lebanese **comedian **and **psychologist **who grew up in Nigeria and spent years doing mental health work in crisis zones before realizing stand-up comedy was a more sustainable coping mechanism. He’s worked with survivors of war, torture, and people who reply all, and now channels those experiences into comedy that blends cultural critique with personal absurdity—digging into identity, power, and the ongoing mess of colonialism. Performing in English and Arabic, Hilal has brought his stand-up to stages across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, serving punchlines that land harder than a visa rejection.
Coming from Mexico, Diego Aguilar is a 22 year old up-and-coming comedian residing in Lisbon. With now two years of experience in the Lisbon comedy scene, he brings forward an observational and rather self-conscious approach to standup.

Doors open at 8.30PM. Come enjoy some drinks or any other vice of your choice! The show starts at 9PM so please be comfortably seated by then, drinks in hand.
The schedule is kind of like this:
8.30PM - Doors open and we start serving drinks and snacks
9.00PM - Comedy show starts
9.45PM - Short break, drink refill, perhaps a sneaky quick snack.
10.30PM - Show ends and there is time for more drinks, laughter, and merry making!

The venue (Selva Comedy Cafe) will serve craft beer, wine, cocktails (espresso martini, g&t, lisbon mule, etc.), Why Not organic sodas, kombucha, and some light snacks!
