Lisbon Newcomers Welcome Club - July Meetup

This "Lisbon Newcomers Welcome Club" gathering is for people who are new to Lisbon or want to welcome them, and increase their number of connections. The first meetup was held November 2021 and since we have welcomed 300+ people to these events. Each event creates new bonds between virgins (newcomers to Lisbon) and veterans (locals or those who have been here for a while) in a simple, fun, yet effective way.

Thanks to the fabulous team at Titanic. The first 25 attendees get a free drink ticket. This is to encourage you to be on time. If you are wealthy, consider giving your ticket someone else. There will be some special happy hour drink promotions from 6pm - 8pm Additionally there is a live music with Daguida starting at 10pm.
Attendees who want to stay on can get a normally payable ticket for free at 9pm

Our events are open and welcoming to people from all backgrounds. You will be surprised to see how many different nationalities come together at these events.

EVENT STRUCTURE:
We will have a structured first sixty minutes with icebreakers aimed at making things easy for people to connect with one another. Then participants are welcome to hang out and socialise as they wish after the structured part of the meeting is over.

REACH OUT:
If you have a community initiative you want to share or announce, let us know in advance.

VOLUNTEERS:
We need volunteers to help us develop the project. From Simple things like being early to welcome people, through to PR and graphic design and a website.

We aim to be a local community of internationally minded people in the heart of Lisbon. You are welcome to be a part of it.

The idea is to maintain and sustain the community spirit that sometimes emerged during Covid and help build back better and stronger than before.

If you don't want us to do that don't give us your email. iI you change your mind you can leave the Substack list at any time.

We are considering a "Hall of Shame", by signing up and not showing up you agree to your details being publishing on the "Anti-social parasites of Lisbon - Wall and Hall of Shame" . We probably won't do this but we might. Consider yourself warned.
