About us
Welcome to Walkabout Lisbon! 🇵🇹✨
Walkabout Lisbon is a local chapter of the global Walkabout movement—a community bringing people together for regular monthly walk-and-talk events designed to foster meaningful conversations, build connections, and explore big ideas together.
Whether you’re a long-time Lisbon local, a digital nomad, or an expat looking to connect, everyone is welcome. Our events are free, friendly, and informal.
How a Walkabout Works:
- Gather & Meet: We meet at an accessible location in Lisbon, wait a few minutes for everyone to arrive, and introduce ourselves.
- Walk & Talk: We take a gentle 2.5–3 km walk (around 45–60 minutes), pairing up and swapping conversations along the way.
- Circle Introductions: Mid-walk, we stop in a quiet spot for brief, 90-second introductions so everyone gets to know who is in the group.
- Socialize: We wrap up our walk at a local pub or café to keep the conversation going over drinks or coffee.
