About us
Love stories that leap from page to screen? This group is for readers, movie fans, and anyone who enjoys seeing how a great story transforms in adaptation. We pick one piece of IP a month and discuss both the original source material and film adaptation in the same event. Whether you’re a serious reader, a casual moviegoer, or just love good conversation, you’ll find your place here.
Expect lively discussion, thoughtful comparisons, and maybe a few debates about which version did it best.

Nolan vs. Homer: "The Odyssey"
It's the summer blockbuster everyone won't shut up about, and it's not even out yet: Nolan, of course. Just when you thought movie buzz couldn't get more annoying than Barbieheimer...
But as ^epic^ as this director tries to be, can he hold a candle to Homer?
Let's find out!
We'll watch this movie together in theatres and then take the discussion to a nearby brewery for beers/food.
We've already bought a shitton of tickets for the group, so see our guide to getting your seat & movie ticket from us.
Since it wouldn't be Lit2Lens without making you do your AP Lit homework, you should try to read some of the source material! See our guide to finding the right book edition, because there are way too many translations to pick from.
After the movie (which will end around 5:00 pm) we will be walking 5 minutes over to Three Taverns Imaginarium for beer & food, and to discuss the book and compare it to the movie we just saw.
