You are cordially invited to join us on 30 March 2026, when Phrakhru Worawong will be leading the Monday night meditation at Baan Aree, the beautiful location so generously made available to us by the Baan Aree foundation.

This session will focus on the Buddhist Middle Way—a path prescribed by the Buddha for peaceful living. We will clarify this frequently misunderstood concept, explaining its ultimate destination and the various stages in between.

Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experienced meditators. We meet to support and encourage each other in our practice.

Programme:
6:00 pm Baan Aree opens
6:30 pm Start of the session
7:30 pm Q&A
7:50 pm Session ends
8:00 pm Baan Aree closes

Baan Aree is a Thai Buddhist Center, please wear something that is comfortable to sit in, and avoid tight-fitting clothes, shorts, sleeveless tops, and short skirts.

There may not be sufficient drinking water on site, therefore you may bring your own water in a closed container. No other food/drinks are allowed in the main room.

As is usual with Buddhist teachings, there is no charge for this event. However, the Little Bangkok Sangha follows the Buddhist custom of Dana (generosity). The teachings and the venue are offered as an act of generosity, and those receiving them can, if they wish, reciprocate by making donations. These go towards the costs of the speaker and the costs of organizing meetings. Boxes for Dana will be provided.

Phrakhru Worawong is a distinguished Buddhist monk and scholar currently serving at Wat Nyanavesakavan in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, where he was ordained in 2009 as a disciple of the Venerable Somdet Phra Buddhaghosacariya (P. A. Payutto). Appointed as a Phrakhru Thanatnukrom in 2017, he holds advanced ecclesiastical qualifications, including the third grade of Pali studies and a specialized diploma in Abhidhamma from Wat Rakang Abhidhamma University. His extensive missionary and educational work spans over a decade, focusing on subjects such as Samatha-Kammatthana, Buddhist history, and mindfulness practices like Kayagatasati. A prolific lecturer, Phrakhru Worawong has delivered numerous Dhamma talks and led meditation retreats for prestigious institutions, including Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, the Bank of Thailand, and various government agencies, while also serving as an instructor for senior Dhamma students in the Sam Phran district.

We plan a live broadcast of this talk – it doesn't always work, but we do our best — on our Facebook group and the Baan Aree YouTube channel:
