Little Rock Riichi Mahjong is a club dedicated to playing riichi/Japanese mahjong, located in central Arkansas.
We currently meet every other Sunday for casual play at The Geeky Oasis in Sherwood, from 12pm to 4pm. All skill levels welcome! Join our Discord to chat with us.
What is riichi mahjong?
Riichi is a variant of mahjong that developed from earlier variants in Japan in the 1950s. It is a 3 to 4 player game, and the objective is to be the first player to complete a 14-tile hand consisting of melds and pairs and satisfying special yaku scoring conditions.
