What we’re about
Rock, Folk, Blues, Pop, Jazz, and sometimes Country! This group thrives on the energy of the live performance of singer-songwriters, classic bands, and up and coming musicians. We often patronize venues without reserve seating; 9:30 Club, Birchmere, Rams Head Live, Jammin Java and the lawns at Wolf Trap, Merriweather Post, and Jiffy Jube Live. Didn't buy an advance ticket online, that means you didn't get ripped off on the service charge. Need a night out with nice people? Sign up last minute and buy a ticket at the door from the house or from someone with a lame no show friend. Rain or shine, lets go see and hear some great music and drink a little beer and wine.

First show of the year at Wolf Trap. Lets go see John Legend on a Tuesday night as the first of three shows he is doing at our favorite show spot. Pack the cooler and bring you snacks as we enjoy the lawn.Bio:
John Legend, is an American singer, songwriter, pianist, record producer, and actor. He began his musical career working behind the scenes for other artists, playing piano on Lauryn Hill's "Everything Is Everything," and making uncredited guest appearances on Jay-Z's "Encore" and Alicia Keys's "You Don't Know My Name". He was the first artist to sign with Kanye West's GOOD Music, through which he released his debut studio album, Get Lifted (2004). The album reached the top ten of the Billboard 200, received double platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and spawned his first hit song, "Ordinary People."
Legend won three Grammy Awards from eight nominations at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards—"Ordinary People" won Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, Get Lifted won Best R&B Album, and Legend won Best New Artist. The album's follow-up single, "So High" (remixed with Lauryn Hill), was nominated for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. His second album, Once Again (2006) was met with continued success, supported by the lead single "Save Room." His third album, Evolver (2008) further diversified his artistry with other genres; its funk-inspired lead single, "Green Light" (featuring André 3000) peaked within the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100 and received double platinum certification by the RIAA. That same year, Legend released the live album John Legend: Live from Philadelphia (2008), followed by his collaborative album, Wake Up! (2010) with Philadelphia-based hip hop band the Roots. - Chris Stapleton + Marcus King + Nikki Lane @ Jiffy Lube LiveJiffy Lube Live, Bristow, VA
Chris Stapleton's All American Road Show will be the first big concert of the 2024 Summer at Jiffy Lube Live. The show appears to be completely sold out as ticket scalpers have bought out the whole allotment and offered them for sale on resale sites at two to four times face value. If you don't want to pay $200 for one show and you think you might want to go to see Chris and one or more of the acts from the link below, Like Dave Mathews, Jason Aldean, Train, Sammy Hagar, ZZ Top or Avril Lavigne, then check out the link above for the Lawn Pass which cost $239 (including fees) for the whole summer (with no show exclusions) so far. So if you plan to see Chris and the likes of Bocephus, Dave, Luke, Sammy, Darius, or Johny (Van Zant) with us this summer, then I strongly recommend grabbing a lawn pass, which normally includes a fast lane pass and no headaches of having tickets on your phone.
Also check out Chris Stapleton's new album Higher release last November. I have seen opener Marcus King several time an he is a very fine southern blues guitarist.
