Ensemble Constantinople: Global Traditions

The Montreal-based Ensemble Constantinople features Ablaye Cissoko on kora & vocal, Kiya Tabassian on setar & vocal, and Patrick Graham on percussion, as the early-music group blends the musical traditions of Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. This will be my first time seeing them in person, but in the meantime, I've really been enjoying their online music. Let's show our Canadian neighbors some love :)
COST: Pay-what-you can, with a suggested starting price of $35 per person. (Buy your own tickets.) This show is a bit more expensive than most of our Meetup events, but I expect to be posting two or three FREE events for May, so, hey, your entertainment budget could still work out for the month ! :)

SEATING: General admission in a church.
WHEN/WHERE TO MEET: Meet inside St. Mark's Lutheran Church at 1111 O'Farrell Street by 3:30 p.m. so we can get seating together. (The concert is due to start at 4:00 p.m.; I expect it to last 90 minutes.)
HOW TO FIND ME: I'm WF, 5 feet tall, with short, salt-and-pepper hair and glasses. I'll send my mobile number to RSVPers prior to the event. Please text me if you don't spot me.
OPTIONAL DINNER after the show at a Moroccan restaurant located about six blocks from the concert venue. (NOTE: I typically limit dinners to six people to facilitate logistics.) Please bring cash if interested in dining.
TRANSIT: Convenient to Geary, Polk, and Van Ness bus lines. (Transfer from either Montgomery BART or Civic Center BART station.)
