Documentary on glam rock pioneer Marc Bolan

"Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan and T. Rex" takes a look at the life and work of glam rock pioneer Marc Bolan and his influence on other musicians. The film includes archival performances and interviews with Elton John, Ringo Starr, and David Bowie, plus filmed musical interpretations by artists such as Nick Cave, Joan Jett, U2, and more. Sunday's screening will be followed by a moderated Q&A with the director, so I'm thinking this particular showing could sell out.

COST: The cost of your movie ticket (about $13 to $17, online or in person). Buy your own tickets. I also ask that attendees consider donating $1.00 to offset the hefty fees that Meetup charges me each year.

TRANSIT: The Roxie is located about one block from the 16th Street BART station and Mission Street Muni bus lines (and is on the route of the #22 Muni bus line). If driving, allow extra time to find parking on side streets.
