Music in-Takht, a wonderful Bay Area-based Egyptian heritage ensemble that wowed Meetup members at last year's SF International Arts Festival, returns to the Mission District's Community Music Center for another Arts Fest concert - this one featuring four world premieres by band members! The band's music selections for the evening will range from classical Egyptian music to contemporary Egyptian fusions with jazz, Irish, and Western classical music.
I believe the core musicians will be the same as at last year's concert (plus a guest artist this time) :

CONCERT COST: Ticket prices for this general-admission-seating event are about $23 to $33, depending on when you buy your tickets.
NOTE: The Early Bird ticket price of about $23 is available through March 31.
I also request a one dollar donation from Meetup RSVPers who can afford it, to defray the hefty fees that Meetup charges me as lead organizer.

WHEN/WHERE TO MEET: Unless you're joining me for the optional pre-show dinner, let's meet at the doors to the Community Music Center at 544 Capp Street no later than 6:30 p.m. (when the doors open) so we can increase our chances of getting good seats together. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. and I expect it to consist of two sets (with an intermission), ending at 9:00 p.m.
HOW TO FIND ME: I'm WF, about 5 feet tall, with short salt-and-pepper hair and glasses. I'll send my mobile number to RSVPers prior to the show. If I'm missing anyone when I get seated, I'll post a Comment on the Meetup Event Page with my location. PLEASE TEXT ME IF YOU DON'T SPOT ME.
TRANSIT/LOCATION: Located south of Mission Street, between 20th and 21st Street, a convenient walk from 24th Street BART and Mission Street bus lines. If you're driving, allow extra time for street parking.
OPTIONAL PRE-SHOW DINNER: At 5:00 p.m. at Arabian Nights, located on Mission near 20th Street. Dinner headcount is limited to SIX people, with preference given to Meetup members who don't flake out on their RSVPs. (I will gladly accommodate additional people for the concert by itself.)
