Holiday Stroll through Torrance- View the elaborately decorated lighted homes

Details
We are going to walk through this neighborhood with some of the most spectacular holiday displays ever..... Its a yearly tradition and always a great time!!
Every year the residents of the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood in Torrance very elaborately decorate their homes. People come from all over to see this amazing sight. Neighbors sell baked goodies and hot chocolate as a gesture of warm holiday spirit and to support charities. (Bring cash with you if you want to buy goodies along the walk path from the kids)
Because parking and traffic is an issue, we will start from Corner Bakery at PCH and Prospect. From there, we will walk and enter the neighborhood from Robert Road. We will meet between 6:45-7pm and begin our walk at 7:15pm. The distance to Robert Road is 3/10 miles and the tour of homes is several blocks.
Optional: Some of us will meet at 6pm to have a bite to eat http://www.cornerbakerycafe.com soup, sandwiches, salads, baked goods and hot beverages. Indicate in your RSVP if you are coming early so I can alert the cafe.
And after the walk, it has been a new tradition to go to Handel's for ice cream. Its $2 1/2 buck Tuesday-- you get 2 1/2 scoops of delicious homemade ice cream for $2.50!
We will be walking:
south on Pacific Coast Highway
left turn on Robert Road
left turn on Doris Way
continue north on Doris Way on west/left side of street
right turn on Sharynne Lane continue east on Sharynne Lane on south/right side of street
right on Dennis Road
right on Reese Road, continue on Reese Road on south/left side of street
left on Doris Way, continue south on Doris Way on east side of street (opposite side of street)
right on Robert Road right on PCH
If you GPS the intersection of Robert Road and PCH, you will see that this route forms a large loop

Dress warmly in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes. You are welcome to bring along your own beverages or snacks for the walk. The estimate of distance walked is 2.5 miles. I'm not exactly sure how long this will take because it depends on our pace and how often we stop to admire the homes. To be safe allow at least (2) hours to walk the entire route from the time we leave the cafe to the time we return - walking at a slow pace.
Anyone who has a higher quality camera with a good flash is especially encouraged to come :)
I need a few volunteers...
Does anyone want to volunteer to be a leader, basically help keep people together? Just be familar with the route, wear something bright or flashing and keep an eye out for stragglers :)
In past years some of us get separated and this will keep more of us together. Thanks!
