Sefton Coastal Path Walk & Southport Air Show

The whole Sefton Coastal Path starts in Waterloo and ends in Crossens but we shall be walking from Waterloo to Southport which is approx. 17 miles. This pleasant walk includes strolls along iconic beach fronts, through prehistoric forests, protected sand dunes, nature reserves and coastal marshes. The diverse terrain and wildlife along the walk offers all abilities of different tastes the chance to enjoy and sample the delight of this jewel of the North West. With stunning views (on a clear day) to North Wales, Snowdonia, Blackpool and the Lake District, this is a well thought out coastal walk. The start of the walk and the 1st 3 miles to Hall Road are graded as Easy Access, so any ability can join in. The whole walk is generally flat with no technical sections. With 8 finish points at each train station along the way, you can opt to do as little or as much as you want. The walk takes place on the weekend of the Southport Air Show offering a chance to see the Red Arrows and various aircraft flying above throughout the walk. Bring some lunch as we will be stopping half way with an optional well earned drink and something to eat at Southport.
