The Usual Spot is a casual, no-agenda hangout for people who like a bit of substance in their socialising think the kind of people who'd enjoy a philosophy group, but without wanting every meet up to be a seminar. We get together to talk, watch things, play things, argue about things. Sometimes the conversation drifts into deeper or philosophical territory; sometimes it's just chat about whatever's going on.
What to expect at events: low-key, regular meetups, could be a pub session, a film, a game night, or just sitting around talking. Usually somewhere central in Liverpool(around Concert Square and nearby), with the exact spot confirmed per event. No fixed structure, no lectures, no obligation to contribute intellectually if you're not feeling it that day.
Who should join: Anyone who enjoys good conversation and doesn't need a strict theme to have a good time, curious, easygoing people who like to think out loud sometimes but mostly just want decent company. No prior knowledge or interest in philosophy required.
