What If… Thatcher Was Assassinated? Theatre Night at the Everyman
Liverpool Everyman Theatre, Hope Street, Liverpool L1 9BH, GBBased on Hilary Mantel’s provocative short story, The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher is a darkly funny and gripping psychological thriller adapted for the stage by Alexandra Wood.
Set in the late summer of 1983, the story unfolds as Margaret Thatcher prepares to leave hospital after routine surgery. Outside, the world waits to greet the Prime Minister. Inside a nearby flat, however, two strangers find themselves locked in a tense moral and political debate that could change history forever.
With just two people, one window, and one gun, the play asks a daring question: when the moment comes, which side of history would you choose? Expect a tense, thought provoking evening of theatre created especially for Liverpool.Seating
I’ll be sitting in Stalls Centre – Row A, Seat 23. If you’re booking tickets, feel free to choose seats nearby so we can enjoy the show together.

Cured — Miracles, Mayhem, and a Trip to the Royal Court
Royal Court Theatre, 1 Roe Street, Liverpool, GBCured is a brand new comedy from Liverpool writer and comedian Laurence Clark, produced in partnership with Birds of Paradise. What begins as a well-meaning pilgrimage to Lourdes turns into anything but holy.
Connor Fisher, a young wheelchair-using scally, has absolutely no interest in quiet reflection — he’s only joined the trip to chase Rose, a woman he met in the queue for a disability benefit reassessment. Once onboard, Connor’s chaotic influence pulls his fellow pilgrims wildly off course.
Together they manage to do just about everything the Catholic Church would rather they didn’t.
Expect sharp wit, big laughs, and a heartfelt look at hope, friendship, and the glorious messiness of being human.
Seating
I’ll be in the Circle, seat B15. You're welcome to book a seat nearby or, if you prefer the stalls, that totally up to you.Meeting and Pre Show Social
We’ll meet at the New Courtyard at 18:00 for a relaxed drink and a catch-up before heading to our seats for the show at 19:30.More Info and Tickets
