What If… Thatcher Was Assassinated? Theatre Night at the Everyman
Details
Based on Hilary Mantel’s provocative short story, The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher is a darkly funny and gripping psychological thriller adapted for the stage by Alexandra Wood.
Set in the late summer of 1983, the story unfolds as Margaret Thatcher prepares to leave hospital after routine surgery. Outside, the world waits to greet the Prime Minister. Inside a nearby flat, however, two strangers find themselves locked in a tense moral and political debate that could change history forever.
With just two people, one window, and one gun, the play asks a daring question: when the moment comes, which side of history would you choose? Expect a tense, thought provoking evening of theatre created especially for Liverpool.

I’ll be sitting in Stalls Centre – Row A, Seat 23. If you’re booking tickets, feel free to choose seats nearby so we can enjoy the show together.
