Neighborhood Hike: Medford Main Street
Details
Today we're going on a small hike around Medford Main Street. The town is beautiful and there's tons of mini-trails through the wilderness. Main Street is also littered with tons of scarecrows for the contest. We'll get to see all the creativity and work the artist put into it. I grew up in this town and I'd love to show you all around.
We'll start at Pinelands Library. You can park at the library directly. Or you could also park in the Medford Village parking lot. There's usually tons of spots there. I'm going to park near Active Fitness and walk across the field cause I'm crazy :p
I'll see if I can draw a picture of our path later. For now, here's the rundown:
From Pinelands, we'll travel down Union Street, walk down Main Street, turn down Broad Street, until we hit branch street, and we'll follow it back to Main Street. We'll go the other direction this time until we reach Allen Ave. Then we'll take another turn down a wilderness trail which should lead us to Allen School, and from there, we'll follow the path to Freedom Park. From there, we'll travel back to Union Street and return to Pinelands library.
Afterwards, I'm going to Rita's if you want to join me. It's a short walk past St. Mary's School. We'll eat some water ice and head home.
