Drumming Up the Sun (Sunrise at Red Rocks)

Before our Yule morning ritual and potluck, come drum up the sun at Red Rocks Amphitheater! Let's celebrate a new beginning with lengthening days and a return of the sun on solstice morning. Bring drums or rattles, and warm clothing. We gather before dawn on the 21st. Some come as early as 4-5am, others not until 6:30. Sunrise is at 7:17am, and the event ends usually in the few minutes after sunrise has occurred. Park at the top of the amphitheater. Living Earth will bring drums and rattles to share and you can find us near the top of the amphitheater on the left side (north side). Afterward, feel free to join us at Living Earth House for a breakfast potluck and ritual.

This event has no official organizers and people just kind of show up. There are usually hundreds of people!
