What we’re about
This group is for anyone under 50, wanting to meet new people, make new friends, be out of the house and simply wants to have a great time with liked mind people. This group is also beneficial if you're looking to practice your conversational English.
Whether you're a local or new to Glasgow, our friendly, relaxed meetups aim to share great experiences together with like minded people. From seeing a great new movie at the cinema, trying out a new restaurant, watch a stand up comedy gig, go for a scenic and invigorating walk or just simply having a coffee in a cafe or a drink in the pub. Whatever we do it's always better with great people.
We aim to have meetups during weekday evenings and weekends to cater to various schedules.

When requesting to join the group, please ensure you answer the provided questions and have a profile photo showing your face. Sorry, we won't accept join requests that have profile photos with anything other than a face, we want to know who is in our group. Accepting or declining join requests is entirely at the group organisers discretion.
By being a member of this group, you agree to these ground rules:
- We expect our members to treat each other with respect, to communicate with the event hosts especially if you cannot attend the event and of course, enjoy yourself!
- Anyone whose conduct is malicious, deceptive, unacceptable and/or goes against treating others with respect may be suspended or banned from the group.
- If you're unable to attend a meetup after initially RSVPing, then please change this and/or let the event hosts know asap. This is courteous to the hosts, your fellow group members and also helps the event host to gauge attendance.
- Those who are no shows (who don't turn up and did not change their RSVP/did not communicate their inability to attend to the event host) on 3 occasions in a 12 month period will be removed from the group.
- To ensure greater consistency in meetup turnout and to reduce likelihood of last minute dropouts, our meetup RSVPs open five days before the scheduled meetup and close 24 hours before. Once RSVPs closed, if you cannot make the meetup, let the host(s) know by either a comment on the meetup page, a message in the event chat or DM the host(s).
- To remain a group member and keep our community friendly and active, we expect our members to attend a minimum of one meetup every 12 months. Those who don't will be removed from the group.
