localboast is a bilingual show-and-tell for developers in Tokyo. Bring something you built on your own time (a side project, a tool, a half-finished experiment), show it to a room that wants to see it, and get real feedback on it. Demos beat slides, and first-time presenters are welcome (that's the point).
It's also here to mix two scenes that don't cross paths enough. Tokyo has a strong Japanese-speaking dev community and a strong international one, and localboast puts them in the same room. Talks have live captioning, and we have bilingual facilitators around, so you can present and mingle in either language.
### How it runs
- localboast: a handful of short talks and demos (5 to 15 minutes each, around 4 to 5 presenters).
- localtoast: a break to raise a drink and say kanpai (乾杯).
- localroast: a short, constructive feedback round on what people showed.
After that, an open mingle to keep talking, find collaborators, swap feedback, and trade contacts.
### Who it's for
Any developer in Tokyo, any stack, any level, whether you mostly work in Japanese or English. There's no pitching, no fundraising, and no growth charts. Just people showing what they made.
