- Improving Networking in LocalStack & Testing AWS Data StreamingLink visible for attendees
Join our February event where we'll talk about improving networking in LocalStack & how we are streamlining LocalStack networking experience. Additionally, we'll delve into AWS Data Streaming with LocalStack and how it help us work faster and enhances developers experience!
Talk 1: Improving Networking in LocalStack
Connecting your applications to LocalStack has not always been easy. In this talk, we discuss how we streamline the LocalStack networking experience. We'll discuss the challenges of connecting your applications to LocalStack and how we're simplifying the LocalStack networking experience.
Simon will also discuss about configurations required for more complex networking setups. We’ll discuss common networking scenarios, with example configuration for achieving connectivity.
Finally, he'll discuss our approach to making connectivity to LocalStack easier, including:
- Providing helpful advice
- Introducing dynamic name resolution with our DNS server
- Updating and improving our advanced configuration
- Providing tooling to help users debug their network configuration
Simon Walker is a Senior Software Engineer at LocalStack, contributes to various services such as Cognito, AppSync, SES, and QLDB. Additionally, he works extensively with the core emulation, focusing on DNS and networking.
Talk 2: AWS Data Streaming with LocalStack in Action
Join us as Maximillian talks about AWS Data Streaming with LocalStack in action! In this talk, we'll focus on Kinesis Data Firehose, an AWS service that allows you to extract, transform, and load streaming data into various destinations like Amazon S3.
He'll dive into how to set up testing for Kinesis Firehose and seamlessly integrate it with other services using Boto3 and CDK/CloudFormation. Maximillian will lead a live demonstration, showcasing how to set up a practical business case, implement it, and rigorously test it using LocalStack.
Maximilian Hoheiser is a Software Engineer on the LocalStack Core team, where he focuses on working on the LocalStack emulation engine. He has a passion for data science, neuroscience, and web3. Outside work, Maximilian likes wreck diving, ultra-running, and bike packing.
