Rob Ribeiro of Trek10 will be presenting our talk this month. As time has gone on, we have figured out how to automate various actions with scripts, webhooks, cron jobs, CI/CD systems, and more. As more development shifts to the cloud, it becomes important to consider how to automate the creation of cloud infrastructure in a consistent manner. There have been multiple frameworks and techniques for doing exactly this, but until recently, CloudFormation was the only officially blessed and supported means with AWS. We'll be looking at some of these frameworks and tools, as well as diving into AWS' latest tool for Infrastructure as Code: the AWS CDK.

Harmony Healthcare IT is our sponsor this month and will be hosting our meetup at their location. So come out for some pizza and beer with your fellow Local Variables!

Please RSVP so we know how many people are coming.

Do you have a talk or presentation you've been dying to give? Great! We're looking for speakers for future meetups! Contact us at localvariablessb@gmail.com or on Slack and we'll get you all setup!

Hope to see you all there!
