Ruby Thursdays

Details
Come join us from 12-1pm at the Greenhouse in the Innovation Park at Notre Dame for another week of Ruby Thursdays, where local software professionals and students, on the surface, learn Ruby, but first and foremost hone their craft regardless of their language background. Bring your lunch and a laptop, as the focus of the group is getting your hands dirty in code via hands on tutorials, new frameworks, coding katas, an anything else we can think of.
Newcomers and coding 'noobs' are always welcome, as each meetup involves independent groups learning at their own level and pace, with plenty of help to go around. Just check out the Files section of the group (under the 'More' menu) for slides and materials to catch up with what has already happened in the group.
We will also have time for quick lightning talks at the beginning of every meetup, so if you're interested in sharing on any topic (framework, tool, other language, etc.), simply come prepared to share.
Finally, always check the comments during a week to see if a sponsor will be providing lunch. The current plan is to have the first meeting of every month covered. Otherwise, feel free to bring your own food.
Thanks and hope to see you there.
