- FILMING SHAKESPEARE with former Head of Acting at RADATheatre Deli, London
Following the succes of our FILMING SHAKESPEARE workshops in May, Ellis and I have decided to repeat the session in July. You can see an example of one of the speeched we shot at the link below:
https://www.instagram.com/p/C74GRrgoI74/Ellis Jones, who worked at RADA for 17 years and held posts including Head of Acting and Deputy Principal, and I are piloting a new venture: FILMING SHAKESPEARE. What this will entail is a three-hour in person workshop/rehearsal looking at Shakespeare speeches (either speeches of your choice, or Ellis can choose for you if you wish). During this session Ellis will explore and direct the actors focusing on the speeches.
The following day we intend to shoot these speeches in a studio environment, with theatrical lights and good quality audio. PLUS focusing on the speeches and an opportunity to video the monologue under studio conditions. We understand from conversations with casting directors that a workshop classical monologue would be welcome in a showreel, so long as it looks and sounds like professional work.
We'd like to give you the opportunity to book this for £95. We are limiting the numbers to a maximum of 10 participants.
We are also exploring the possibility of a compilation of these speeches in a DVD collection that we could distribute to casting people and interested parties.
The initial workshop will be from 6-9pm on Monday 1st July at Theatre Deli.
The shooting session will be from 3pm-6pm on Tuesday 2nd July at Theatre Deli.Email: actinggymnasium@gmail.com - to book or for more information.
