Eraserhead (1977): FREE SCREENING

Details
There have been few cinematic debuts more singular than David Lynch's Eraserhead, which transforms the director's anxieties about parenthood into a black-and-white surrealist nightmare. It basically set Lynch up to get the Elephant Man job, and eventually Dune - but that's another story. Anyway, Eraserhead's legacy can be seen in films as diverse as The Shining, Pi and Tetsuo: The Iron Man, not to mention the works of David Firth, and it's probably also a movie where it's fun to see the reactions of people around you.

This is showing at the brilliant SET Social as part of the Peckham and Nunhead Free Film Festival (details here). It's first come, first served, but there should be plenty of room and an affordable bar to boot. The movie is slated to start at 7pm I'll be there from around half six. See you there!
