Sinners (2025) - FREE SCREENING

Sinners is the best thing I've seen in the cinema so far this year, the rare example of someone taking on a genre movie with a decent budget and bringing a fresh feel to it. It also has some really interesting things to say about the power of music as well as race and immigration in America, but you don't have to take it on that level if you don't want to.

Twins 'Smoke' and 'Stack' Moore (both played by Michael B. Jordan) have returned from WWI and a successful stint in organised crime in Capone-era Chicago to their hometown in the Mississippi Delta, where they plan to open a juke joint. After securing their talented young cousin as the musical entertainment, they have a barnstorming opening night. But some unwelcome visitors bring horror and death with them on a level they can't comprehend.
