Join us at a picnic for Bisexual+ community, in an anti-racist, trans-affirming social space welcoming to all bisexual+ people (bi, pan, polysexual, fluid, omnisexual, other m-spec), bi-curious, and allies; children too; on the day of (not associated with) the cancelled "Pride in London". Do Pride, the old fashioned way — with a picnic.

Saturday 11th, 1pm on.
WHERE: beyond Serpentine Bar and Kitchen, Hyde Park (not as far as toilets; Serpentine waterfall also near)
BRING: blankets, outdoor games, picnic nibbles, water (stay hydrated!). Some indoor cafes open.
WEAR: bi/pan/other pride finery; a jumper/sunhat/other protection suggested too.

  • Plan for possible rain/other, & security (valuables etc.).
  • Follow Covid/other best practices.
  • 🚮 Keep park tidy (litter pickup afterwards is charged for). John's tips (from past years' Prides; general/self-care section still valid):

Run by: Biscuit, B with the T, BSN, Bisexual Index, with some help from us. Also note: Bi Pride is 1 week later, on 18th (online).

⚫ The backstory...
In March 2021, Rhammel, as Director of Communications for Pride in London [PiL], & a Black Bisexual man, quit, because racism wasn't dealt with inside PiL, the non-profit organisation. All Pride's CAB [Community Advisory Board] & other volunteers followed suit soon after. In response, PiL co-leads made a (bit defensive) statement, quit, & left temporary leaders in charge. Whether the new Director Chris (a Black man) & others listen & respond, supporting all LGBTQIA+ intersectionalities, specifically re: race (but also disabilities, trans, bi, intersex, ace) for this pride, is to be seen (early first steps made). Can they drive the necessary changes, while continuing reductions in biphobia (after our calls for bi+ people to volunteer) and transphobia (seen a few efforts in last ~2–3 years).

The other four 2019 bi parade groups' statement in solidarity, as they (& we) boycotted 2021 PiL:
