Monthly Online Social (BVD extra)

Our regular social on the 4th Thursday every month.

This month we celebrate Bi Visibility Day (the day before, Wed 23rd) with a little extra. Bringing bi/pan flags or merch (or wearing it as appropriate) is encouraged (not required), or celebrating other LGBTQIA+ identities (trans, non-binary, intersex, asexual welcome too; and L/G allies). From badges to umbrellas, face paint even if you like.

Activities (BVD special):
I'll offer everyone a chance to show and tell an item around 8pm (maybe also ~8.45 if later joiners wish to).
I'll suggest an online drawing game (Skribbl) or the online jigsaw puzzle challenge I've created specially, at ~9pm - independently or in a breakout room.
if conversation lulls, I'll throw bisexual-themed quiz questions at random through the evening; you're welcome to come up with your own too.

Atmosphere:
This meet is great for new members; very friendly, relaxed atmosphere, definitely social, fun, and happy, casual chat - often bisexuality related but not always. Some people drink, but not all.

Demographics/diversity:
There's always a good mix of regulars and new faces (roughly half/half), genders (near 50/50 split of men/women, typically between one and a few of whom will be transgender). The ratio of Black/Asian/minority ethnicity people present is usually comparable to the London population. A few couples/+1s, disabled people, sometimes a monosexual ally or neurodiverse-spectrum person or two. Everyone is expected to respect others' differences and conversation needs, or (after repeat or severe offences) they will be removed.

This all keeps it fresh and friendly - regulars chat to new folk. You won't be the only new person (by a long way) so you shouldn't feel left out. If you turn up after the start and it looks like everyone already knows everyone - it only seems like that; its just how friendly we are. In fact a few people arriving or leaving part way through is common; we're here til late, join in! I will try to offer opportunities to help integrate if you need it (and avoid hassling you if you'd rather quietly contemplate), or you can ask - by meetup private message beforehand or zoom chat (perhaps privately to me) if you prefer.
