What we’re about
Hi, this is a flourishing group for anyone who wants to play chess, and make friends with other enthusiasts. Our meetings are very informal and welcome players of all ages and levels. Just turn up and ask someone for a game. We even get a discount on the coffee and buns! If you can bring a chess set, that's a help, but we do have them — and clocks if you want one.
Our main event is on Sunday from about 10am to 4pm at Mercato Metropolitano's MMy Elephant Park close to the Elephant and Castle. Most people play indoors, but there's space outside too when the weather is clement. We also run occasional events on weekday evenings.
